Growing with Young Hippy – The First 48

07-21-2021

FlorFlex V1, Athen CalMg, FloraFlex v2

After 48 hours, everything but the Mondo Burger had sprouted. Even though the Mondo Burger did not sprout, the shell is starting to crack and show signs of life. I will continue to check on it every few hours or so between now and the 72 hour mark. In the meantime, I am going to prep the water I will be using to drench my coco. For this run, I will be using the FloraFlex and Teaco combo. Seeing as I am still getting used to Mills and trying to dial it in. For this series I want to use something I am comfortable with. I suggest you do the same. If you have not yet decided on what you will be feeding your plants, I will say that I am extremely pleased with the results the FloraFlex line gives you. Not only does their line produce amazing results but, they are very well priced. Whatever base nutrients you decide to go with, I highly advise you combine that with some Teaco Biological Supply. I promise, you will not regret using Teaco in your garden.

After you choose what nutrient line you are going to run with, you will want to look up their feeding chart if yours does not come with one. This feeding chart is crucial. However, keep in mind that all strains will not react the same to what the manufacturer suggests you use. It is up to you to keep a close eye on your plants after feeding them and see how they react to the mixture. I strongly suggest getting a grow journal to log every little thing you do down. That way you do not find yourself forgetting what you did the day before and completely destroy your crops. When prepping your water, look at the feeding chart and follow the recipe for week one of veg. What I like to do is mix my week 1 mixture in a gallon jug. I then take a separate container, add some of my water from the jug into that container and dilute it with plain water to bring the EC or PPM down to a quarter of what was suggested.

I know what you are thinking, “What the f#$% is this dude talking about?”. If not, my hat is off to you because my brain was fried when I first tried to comprehend this. Luckily, below I have provided a video for you to reference. Be sure to check it out and if you run into any problems or have any questions, comments or concerns, be sure to hit us up on Instagram. Happy growing folks and I will check back in with you all tomorrow.

Tune into our second episode of the Growing with Young Hippy series. On this episode we check the status of our seeds after being in the water for a little more than 48 hours.

The Hippy Chronicles Podcast

Hippy Life

This platform sparks the creative, idealistic, loving, caring and, most importantly, free nature that one has trapped inside. Without the everlasting love he receives from his girlfriend and two children, and the unbreakable brotherhood within his circle, Young Hippy would be a lost soul in this paradise we call life.
